How to Select the Right Grade

  1. Water quality analysis: pH, turbidity, COD, TSS, heavy metals
  2. Treatment stage: Primary coagulation vs polishing
  3. Industry: Different wastewater characteristics require different grades
  4. Jar testing: Always confirm dosage via laboratory jar test

FAQ

Anionic vs Cationic PAM?

Anionic (APAM) for mining, sand washing, and industrial wastewater. Cationic (CPAM) for sludge dewatering and organic waste.

How to dissolve PAM?

Dissolve slowly (0.1-0.3%) with gentle mixing for 30-60 min. Avoid high speed to prevent chain breakage.

Shelf life?

12 months in sealed packaging. Once dissolved, use within 24-48 hours.

How to choose molecular weight?

Higher MW for faster settling (mining), lower MW for better mixing. Use jar test to optimize.

Dosage for sludge?

Typically 3-8 g/kg dry solids for CPAM. Conduct bench-scale test for specific sludge.
